APRIL 2026 - updates and News

There is quite alot of news to begin April at the Dread. Some good and some sad.

FIRST of ALL

We will be hosting the Funeral Service of Billy Haggarty on Thursday 9th April at Dreadnought Rock - 14-16 King Street that has been mentioned on out main Facebook page last week.

For those without social media or a reminder here are the details :

1pm MAIN SERVICE for Billy (Both levels of the venue will be open for the service)

For those able to stand during the service please do and allow anyone needing a seat to have one.

2pm - BOG HEAD CEMETERY BATHGATE - Map Link

After the Cemetery all welcome back to the Dreadnought for something to eat and drink.

FRIDAY 10th APRIL

After the passing of two Dj's that formed the history of the Dreadnought from it's inception granted with Billy being front and centre from the early 80's until present we have to mark their passing with a night to remember them playing the music.

It would be great if you could make it along as no doubt decades of people will want to (hence the rsvp bit)

Click on the A NIGHT TO REMEMBER and that will take you to the dedicated page for the event - PLEASE RSVP if possible.

Sadly Alma Fiera have had to pull out the event. (Updates will flow on Thu 2 April to ticket holders first then to the public via socials and on the event info too)

Brett who was due back in the UK from his holiday in Austrailia on Sunday has been delayed in returning home after suffering mild decompression sickness after diving the great barrier reef.

Good news is he's fine after treatment BUT unable to fly back just yet until passed fully fit to fly which will be after the show this Saturday we have been informed.

One of those unforseen events that can happen and all that matters in our eyes is he returns home safe and well.

The Event Schedule will update where the four bands will play a wee bit longer for you and still great value for FOUR BANDS for £10 (so instead of £2 a band it's now £2.50)

REVISED approx TIMINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS :

DOORS still 3pm to get a good seat

4.30-5.45 TEMPTATION WAITS

6.15-7.30 THE SIGNS

8.00-9.15 TOO LATE TO ATONE

9.45-11.00 LATERAL FLOW

OK now all that important news and updates are out the way we have another brilliant month of live music on the way for you featuring our usual great mix of ORIGINAL BANDS, COVERS BANDS and TRIBUTES - ALL covering a vast array of rock, pop and blues that we know will entertain you.

In these challenging times for all of us we urge you to AT THE VERY LEAST have a look and listen to the artists and bands coming up to play. IF it takes your fancy PLEASE get an advance ticket (available right upto 30mins before doors open each show)

HERE'S WHAT'S COMING YOUR WAY ON THE LIVE LEVEL - THEN AFTER EACH LIVE SHOW WE STILL ROCK ON TO 3AM
