It is with great sadness we have to share of the passing of our own Billy Haggarty on Friday 20 March peacefully at home.

A good man (granted stubborn as hell sometimes) a great friend to many, father and Mr Dreadnought for absolutely forever………………..
His loss will not only be devastating on his daughter Amie, partner Christine and family members. It will be for all those closest to him too, also to everyone who knew him or via his…let say exploits in the Dread over the decades and on numerous occasions during a Magic Roundabout Disco excursion…. which is best left there for now.
For once I’m lost for words what to say today or to even come close to summarising the enigma that was Billy, but we know the words will come back as well as the stories, memories and the music he shared to us all including very fitting one……
Ain't got no regrets
I ain't losin' track of which way I'm going
I ain't gonna double back, no
Don't want no misplay
Put on no display
An angel? No, but I know my way
Oh yeah, oh-oh
You know the rest……..as it was drummed into us for decades whether we liked it or not.
We will keep you updated of his wishes and service arrangements as soon as we know more.
It goes without saying we will also give him one all mighty send off too at the Dread as soon as we can.
Devastating that this news is to all of us at the Dread, we knew Billy would want us and more importantly you to rock on after he was gone, so this weekend’s live action will continue as planned but dare say the music will be more from the classic Billy set list over the weekends ahead.
