ROCKTOBER

ROCKTOBER at the DREADNOUGHT.

Before that a quick look back at September which was quite a challenge if I'm open despite some top live bands set to play through the month that sadly lacked an audience level that matched the talent on stage with one even having to be CANCELLED due to lack of advance SALES.

Another excellent show that joined the growing list up and down the country that is now causing ALL VENUES great concern along with the bands who are desperate to play for you.

Some venues even getting to the point they are putting the padlock on the door !

Let's hope this worrying trend starts to reverse very soon, as no venue or band can take too many losses now and hopefully act as a eye opener to all the gig goers.

Already at the end of September we have had to make an impossible decision on a November show that had shown NO sales in the last 6 months ! I know BRUTAL but not as much as the venue, promoters and bands all taking losses they cannot afford any longer.

I'm afraid the "ach it's still weeks away" rational won't help anymore having been on sale for nearly 8 months. A FIVE band night with everyone at a complete loss on why this has occured as the headline act always has pulled in nearly triple figures in sales each time the play in advance.

Check the website - have a look. If nothing floats yer boat thats fine but you looked.

BUT if you see a show, really fancy it and planning on coming to see it - grab a ticket in advance please.

It's the ONLY way we know if you are coming along supporting live music on your doorstep.
