JUNE - Hip Hip Hooray......??

After a rather majestic May which I will be honest was a roller coaster and a half.
With many opting to sit oot their back in the unseasonably roasting weather, well all except us gingers that burst into flames after 5 minutes in the rays.
After a great start with some great originals and covers bands we had a bit of a disaster on the hottest Friday for a long while - the 16th.
I don't mind telling you that the income that night was barely enough to pay the band let alone the multitude of other costs such as insurance, rent, electric and wages for all the staff needed. As we don't have a crystal ball to predict nearly all of West Lothian decided to BBQ and stay at home we could have too.
Had that weather continued and income continued to dip just like many did in their paddling pools this blog might be written slightly differently so a timely reminder to us all hopefully how fragile things are and get in this game these days with many venues, nightclubs and bars still going bust on a weekly basis.
Enough of that doom as the last couple of weekends redeemed itself with some magical live shows from some top originals and tributes travelling THOUSANDS of miles to come and play.
BRAVO to all of them and of course to ALL who came and rocked with us.
TO JUNE and Galaday season is upon us again. I have to be honest I hope for rain just after the processions to put those BBQ's oot and head to the Dread instead for more cracking live music and club action. After all we rock every weekend and never stop, not even for a Galaday.
We have another excellent line up of covers, tributes and original artists set to play.
As ever ALL the info - times - Tickets are listed and detailed on the new look website.
ALL you have to DO is have a wee LOOK and READ......which costs nothing but a few minutes.
Click over to www.dreadnoughtrock.co.uk for all that finer detail, lock in a ticket in advance to support the shows and venue as much as you can.
You actually do support us every time you get a ticket as Ticketmaster/Universe pass back 50% of the fee's you pay on your ticket every month to support small venues like ourselves and believe me it helps massively.
